Recipe: Cookie Dough Cake Pops

This is a recipe based from a My Little Cupcake recipe that can be found here.

For the Cake Pop Cookie Dough you will need:
  • 150g Unsalted butter (or 2/3 Cup)
  • 55g Brown sugar (or 1/4 Cup)
  • 100g Granulated sugar (or 1/2 Cup)
  • 1 tsp of Vanilla extract
  • 60g Plain or Vanilla Yoghurt (or 1/4 Cup)
  • 220g Plain Flour (or 1 3/4 Cups)
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • Additions such as chocolate chips, nuts, or other things you might want! (about 1 cup)

For the rest:
  • Cake Pop Moulds
  • Plain Flour
  • Cake Pop Melts or Covertures
  • Lollipop Sticks
  • Decorations!
Making the Dough:
Firstly mix the unsalted butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar together before adding the vanilla extract and yoghurt. Afterwards add in the flour, baking soda and salt, and then combine. Once the mixture is complete you can add in your extras such as chocolate chips.

Creating the Cake Pops:
Sprinkle flour into your mould so you can remove the dough once formed. Add in the dough and create the shapes you want using your Cake Pop Moulds. Once done, attach your sticks using chocolate or melts then chill in the refrigerator for a while. You can melt Candy melts in the microwave or in a bowl over a pan of boiling water; I suggest the latter if using chocolate. You can now take out the cake pops and dip them in the melts, and decorate however you like!
