If you are having a party to celebrate something, cake pops can make the perfect centrepiece to your event. You can write a letter on each cake pop to make a message - from anniversaries to retirement parties, it's easy to make cake pops that not only look amazing but taste good too!

You will need:

Method:
  1. Decide on your message and count how many letters there are
  2. Make the same amount of cake pops as there are letters in your message.
  3. Melt your cake pop heaven melt.
  4. Dip each cake pop into the melt, ensuring each is fully covered.
  5. Leave the cake pops to dry.
  6. Write a letter on each cake pop using the food pen.
  7. Place the cake pops in order into the display stand.

How to make a Valentine's Heart Shaped Sweet Tree

It's almost Valentine's day and Cake Pop Heaven have a variety of products perfect for the special day! This week's blog tells you how to make a heart shaped sweet tree.

You will need:

  1. Place two big cupfuls of plaster and one cupful of water in a plastic bag (with no holes in!).
  2. Seal the top of the bag by tying a knot.
  3. Mix the plaster and water by squeezing the bag.
  4. Cut a small hole in the bottom corner of the bag.
  5. Squeeze the mixture into the bucket.
  6. Tap the bucket to get rid of air bubbles.
  7. Place the dowel upright in the centre of the bucket. The plaster sets in seconds.
  8. Cut a groove in the back of the polystyrene heart with a knife.
  9. Fill the groove with glue from the glue gun.
  10. Stick the heart to the dowel, placing the dowel inside the groove.
  11. Cover the heart in red tissue paper.
  12. Melt the red wonder melts.
  13. Stick your sweets to the heart using the red melts, not glue!
  14. You can put sweets in the bucket to cover the plaster.
These heart shaped trees are not only great gifts, they are also great fun to make! They can be used at weddings or as anniversary gifts too.

Our Television Appearance!

This week has been an exciting one for everyone at Cake Pop Heaven - on Monday we were on TV!
You may have seen our appearance at 3pm on the Create and Craft channel, demonstrating some of Cake Pop Heaven's products. Initially I was a bit nervous - our slot was for an hour, which seems like quite a long time to be on camera. However as soon as I got there I forgot my nerves - everybody from Create and Craft was lovely, and Dawn Bibby made me feel so welcome!

Once we got started on the product demonstrations I really started to enjoy myself. We showed how to use the melting pots and melts, the new sweet tree heart kit and the cake pop press as well. The time flew by, and I was surprised when our time was up!

It was a fantastic experience and I'm grateful to the Create and Craft channel for having me. I'm looking forward to next time!

Kid's Party Cake Pops

Last week's blog looked at wedding cake pops - this week we look at the idea of cake pops at kid's parties! There are many advantages of cake pops over traditional birthday cake - instead of getting a messy slice of cake in a paper napkin, you can give your guests individually wrapped cake pops, which as well as looking much better also make less mess and are more likely to get eaten!

In addition, baking cake pops is a much more satisfying experience than buying a shop-made cake. You can decorate the cake pops in any way you like - if your party has a theme you can get creative with your cake pops!

Once you have finished making your cake pops, package them using wraps and twist ties. You can then put them in a display stand to show off your creations!

Your guests are sure to be excited by your cake pops and they will really make your kid's party memorable!

Wedding Cake Pops

Weddings have a great number of traditions that come with them: the white dress, bridesmaids, photos, rings, ushers... there are so many elements of a wedding that we feel can't be changed, so when it comes to the parts where the traditions are less strict, it's time to have some fun!

A recent craze is instead of having a traditional wedding cake, which is not to everyone's taste, couples can choose to have cake pops on their big day. Although this is a bit different from normal, there are many advantages to choosing cake pops:

1) Cake pops can be decorated to match your colour scheme exactly
2) Cake pops make a beautiful and interesting centrepiece on the tables
3) Different and exciting flavours can be created
4) Cake pops will make your wedding more memorable to your guests
5) They are a talking point - everyone will be impressed with the original designs!
